MARCUS AND OLIVIA

OUR STORY

We met in the summer of 2021, and neither of us had any idea how much our lives were about to change. Little did Marcus know he was about to meet a 4'11" girl with a very big personality, and little did Olivia know she was about to fall in love with an Italian who doesn’t like cheesecake… which, honestly, still feels like a red flag.

From our very first date, things just felt easy. What started as getting to know each other quickly turned into something much more meaningful. Somewhere between the laughs, long conversations, and the kind of everyday moments that somehow become our favorites, we realized we had found something pretty special.

Over the past few years, we’ve made countless memories, gone on plenty of adventures, and laughed more than we can count. Along the way, we’ve learned a few important things: Marcus will never understand Olivia’s unwavering commitment to cheesecake, and Olivia has learned that Marcus will put hot sauce and ranch on just about anything (which makes her love him even more).

Most importantly, we’ve learned that life is just better when you get to do it with your best friend.

Now we’re really really really really REALLY excited to start this next chapter together (IYKYK) — and even more excited to celebrate it with all of you!

Taylor Lorick - Matron of Honor

Taylor serves as Matron of Honor, a title she earned not only through friendship and loyalty, but also through the extremely convenient fact that she’s married to Jeff Lorick… who just happens to be officiating the wedding. Somewhere along the way they managed to secure two of the most important roles in the entire ceremony, which honestly feels like impressive strategic planning on their part.

Between Jeff making the marriage official and Taylor keeping Olivia calm when things get hectic, it’s safe to say they’ll both have their hands full on our wedding day!

Roman Grimaldi - Best Man

From the loins of Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD, deep within the molten heart of the mountain, the earth itself began to stir. Fire and stone churned together for months as something far greater than lava was being forged in the depths. The pressure grew so immense that the mountain could no longer contain it, and with a thunderous roar Vesuvius erupted, sending ash into the sky and molten rivers down the slopes.

But what historians never recorded was the true cause of the eruption: the moment my brother was finally formed, rising from the fiery forge of the volcano itself, casually stepping out of the lava like he’d just been waiting for his cue. Ever since that day, scientists have studied the eruption of Vesuvius, but our family knows the truth—it wasn’t a disaster, it was a birth announcement.

Jeff Lorick - Officiant

Jeff will be officiating the ceremony, a role he’s uniquely qualified for thanks to his time in seminary and his impressive ability to speak confidently in front of people. The groom and best man have known Jeff since they were kids, so having him be the one to marry us makes the moment even more meaningful. As Taylor’s husband, he also happens to be one half of the Lorick power duo running the wedding — Taylor keeping things organized as Matron of Honor while Jeff makes the whole thing legally binding.

We trust him completely to pronounce us husband and wife… mostly because if he messes it up, he still has to go home with the Matron of Honor, and we’re pretty sure she won’t let him hear the end of it.

Parking is very limited. We strongly encourage guests to carpool to help ensure everyone can park and arrive smoothly.

What is the RSVP deadline?

Please RSVP by September 15th so we can finalize arrangements with our vendors and ensure everything is perfectly prepared for the big day!

Plus ones will be indicated on your formal invitation. If a guest is included with your invitation, their name will appear there.

We kindly ask that you refrain from taking photos during the ceremony and keep phones tucked away so everyone can be fully present. Don’t worry, our photographer will be capturing everything, and we’ll be excited to share the photos with you afterward.

Is there a registry?

Yes! We’ve created a registry that you can find by clicking the menu in the top-right corner of the page. Once there, you’ll see three options to choose from. Additionally, you can scroll to the bottom of this website. We truly appreciate any gift you choose to give!
